If you’ve been among the Internet Marketing throng for any period of time, you have undoubtedly heard the expression Content is King more than once. But what does that mean?
Simply put:
Not only do the search engines love content, but visitors do too. By providing visitors with useful information and relevant links to other sites, they come back again and again! And that’s not the only benefit.
What is content?
Content, literally is anything you have on your web site. Products, services and information are all considered content. But, in order for your content to be of value to your web site visitors, it must be fresh and relevant and it must address issues that are important to your site visitors.
Most web site owners know the value of fresh content in driving hungry customers to their sites. But, not every web site owner takes the time or has the desire to create his/her own fresh content.
This creates a huge market for informative articles that web site owners can use on their sites. By offering information to these sites in exchange for a hyperlink to your website, you get more exposure, both to search engines AND potential customers.
Content is King because if used properly, it has the potential to drive hungry customers to your web site and practically beg to buy your product or service.
Writing content for the major article directories and including a signature or “about the author” at the end of the article with a link back to your website is one of the best ways of generating free web site traffic. Let’s face it; if your web site doesn’t have any traffic, it isn’t making any sales.
If the article is well written and about a strong niche topic, the article will get picked up by many website owners for their own sites, which can provide you with a wonderful set of viral links to your site. The more frequently your article gets picked up, the more opportunity there is for another webmaster to see it and pick it up, too. This is the wonder of Viral Marketing.
A couple other equally effective proven methods of supplying fresh content to the information starved public can come in the form of reports and e-books.
Easy to create and give away, reports and e-books must both contain valued Fresh information along with links to your web site. Just as your articles can get passed around the Internet, so can your reports and e-books.
Now that you have a better understanding of what content is, go give it a try. Write an article. Write a report. Write an e-book. Make the subject of your document valuable to your target audience and they, in turn, will reward you by passing it along.
That’s how it works in a nutshell. That is why Content is King.

Theres this saying that goes around that content is king, which Im sure that we all agree upon, but what does it mean? Why is it that so many people recommend writing high quality, original content and why some blogs dont really make it big, despite the quality posts they publish? Lets take a closer look at this matter and find out what it takes to make a king out of your content. A king without a kingdom Just like most websites, a blog is defined by many attributes. Among them, the most notable....

When designing a website, it's easy to start loading it up with graphics. While tempting, you have to resist -- otherwise, you'll end up with graphical overload. Why is that a bad thing? Here's why. It Takes Too Long to Download The first reason to cut down on graphics is that the more there are, and the larger they are, the longer it will take each of your pages to download. People are impatient when waiting for pages to download -- you only have around 5 seconds before your visitor hits the Back button. What can you do about this? Apart from using....

On an information superhighway, a professional writer can be the king of the road. Websites, blogs, newspapers, magazines, and email newsletters all need content. If you have the skills and the contacts, you can earn a very good living, and often with the benefit of keeping your own hours. The biggest challenge, however, is getting the assignments and actually getting published. Start by building a portfolio. This shows samples of your work, and should be able to display the variety of styles. Include a short how-to (which reflects that you can organize information in a way that's useful to the reader),....

Before you can consider the finer points of your design, you need to make the big decisions. Few decisions are more important than the color scheme your website is going to use. Pay Attention To Contrast You need to pick colors that provide enough contrast to make your text stand out in order to promote readability. Stay away from using a light colored font on a light color background as it would be very difficult to read. Remember your emphasis is on getting your message read. An unread message is a useless message. Not Too Many Colors You should choose 3 or 4 colors....
